    XBOX One games with HDR will not launch when connected to LG NanoCell TV


    I have an LG NanoCell 4K TV and even though the TV will play 4K discs via my XBOX Blu-Ray App without issues. Older XBOX One games that are not set with HDR play on this TV fine, and older games that played on my Samsung TV with the HDR feature just fine
    will not start on my LG TV.

    The TV tries to start HDR mode and tried to switch to Game Mode, but as soon as that happens, the game shuts down and goes back to the XBOX Home screen.

    I have tried to change every possible setting I can think of both on the XBOX side and my LG TV side, but nothing is working.

    Any ideas of what I should try?

    Tried a different cable which I know was working with HDR when connected to the XBox and an LG HDR TV. Same result. Tried different ports on the Monitor and also same result, still doesn't work.

    If when you scan its saying your tv doesntsupport HDR then that is a setting or connection issue

    I would still have a look at the tv settings has that tv you can choose what hdmi port has HDR. So if yiou have something pluged into HDMI 1 then HDMI 2 it will give differnt results

    Will xbox one support 1080p HDR like PS4 does?

    Just a thought, I know that when I bought my LG OLED TV I had to tell the TV to turn HDR on, without doing this the TV would display 4K all day but it wouldn't show HDR.

    you may want to look into the projectors setting, possibly something in there similar to the LG's
