    Xbox One Games Share Allowed?

Will game sharing with friends on Xbox One get you banned? There is a lot of controversy and some are saying it is intentional and allowed, while others are saying you will get banned. I would like a straight answer becuase
I don't want to risk getting my account banned and losing my games. I understand that game sharing with family is completely intentional but do they consider it a loophole if you do it with friends? Thanks.

    :)

If you have 2 Xbox One's then you can share Gold and also share games that are purchased Digitally as Greasy mentions above.

You buy Gold & Games on one of the Gamertags and then you load that Gamertag onto the other console and set it as Home Console and it will share the games and gold to that console.

More info in this thread - Game Sharing on Xbox One? | AVForums

If you did not want to use that option and still need 2 Gold Accounts then check out CDkeys as you can get 12 months of Gold for about £25 each and also you can get a 5% Discount liking their Facebook page. You could get 2 12 months subs for under £50

    Gameshare

Game sharing is an amazing feature present on Xbox one which let you share your all games with one and only one friend (or relatives). Both users can share games of Xbox one with each other and play all the titles which are available in-game libraries.
Xbox game sharing is very simple but if you don’t know how to gameshare on Xbox one

then don’t worry because we are here to explain you each and every step to share your Xbox one games with your friends.

But it's a risk sharing account details with "friends". Just one fallout and the first person to sign in and change passwords keeps all games and both accounts..... Is it worth the risk?

That is a good point... but I trust my friend. So you are saying that it is allowed, but risky? I just wanted to clarify.

Maybe... Lol. We think it might be.

It's a bit of a weird one tbh. Ms obviously know it can be done and most people know it can be done, I just don't think anyone for sure has said it's allowed but they haven't said it's not allowed. I'd say, just do it and never speak about it again lol

This was discussed non-stop at launch so I'll try to give you the short version....

Microsoft, the developers and publishers all know the "Home Console" feature is being used the way you're considering, most of us believe that the ability to do it is just an unintended feature of the intended use of the feature.

I personally contacted EA and Ubisoft asking if simultaneous playing a single purchase or using the Home Console as you described was allowed. Both replied No and directed me to their ToS. I contacted MS and asked for clarification of the feature and never
    received a reply.

I think if they decide to crack down on the feature being abused it will be made public before any bans are handed out or they will simply disable the feature. Goat's concern is actually the bigger threat to your gaming library. Even if you trust your friend
do you trust his or her ability to keep your account information secure.

it is meant for family ~ close friends so the of the sign in details should be made in person... that is how it is worded.. as even after you designate their console as your home.. you do not get any sign in details stored... you can even sign your profile
out of their console... in the reality of it.. brother in next room or friend down the block or friend 4 states over.. makes no difference... but for your friend across the country to sign in.. they will need your details to do unless you go visit him...

After it is set.. if you are worried... change your sign in password...

  10. Considering what Randver has said, it would seem that the intended purpose is only for sharing games on multiple consoles within a single house, amongst family. It is against the ToU for probably most, if not all games. Aside from family (and even at that,
ONLY the family within my own home), sharing my account details with a n y o n e is something I would never do... no matter how much I trusted my friend. Unforeseen circumstances can cause the best of friends to fall out with each other. Lacking security,
lack of properly taking care of someone else's [digital login] property, not to mention any number of issues that are beyond anyone's control can compromise that info... it happens every day.

Is it really worth the risk? Not IMO.

    @tohellnbak

I'm basing that on the several 100 page threads that we had about this subject at launch. Several other people did the same thing I did and contacted publishers/developers and MS for clarification. We all received the same responses or no response.

If it was intended feature "most of us" believed that it would have been used as a selling point by MS rather than something that they were very vague or silent about. I recall only one person disagreeing with that logic.

    You think otherwise?

  12. I say it's really not worth the trouble or risk (with family in the same household, it's fine though). If you really want a friend to play the same games that you have (or if they REALLY want to play the same games with you that you have), then they should
buy those games too (or if you're feeling really generous, you could buy those games for your friends). Don't worry about the loopholes; instead of trying to find out if it's okay, why don't you (or your friends) help out the economy instead? After all, it's
the loop-hole kind of thinking that ruins things. Xbox One Games Share Allowed? ;)

and rand... during that 100 page thread.. the numerous websites detailing how to do it.. the MULTIPLE questions asked to MS support on chat, calls, emails, twitter and even the fact MS tell you in the how to section of help... you still think what you think??

my friend... I honestly do not know what is wrong with you.... seriously...

You make a good point how it would just be easier to forget about it. The story is my friend bought a disc game for 360, but he gave away his 360. Since he bought it on disc, it doesn't give him a free download on Xbox One, which is why he wants me to game
share. He was going to re-buy it but since his mic broke he will spend his money on that instead. That is just a backstory of why I'm asking.
