I bought xbox one s console in germany.

My friend from india brought some games for me. Can i install and use these games in Germany ?

Hey chief,

Xbox one consoles are region coded to specific regions - game disks for the xbox one console are not coded to regions as per the above link.

Gears of war 4 other 4 games bundle codes won't work.

and you would have to.use Japanese while in japan

Games like gears are region and language specific

Region independence only applies to Xbox one games

Yes.The xbox one is region free when it comes to disc copies of games.

It is region locked for Blu-ray films & a lot of digital content.

I've seen this a lot when people import a console into another region--specifically ones that do not support Xbox LIVE. Redemption codes are region specific.

@feel the fear that because if it's a xbox one game then they are region freee

Also some 360 games are region free but you take a risk. By buying out of region you can check for regions free disks at playasia.com

But certain games like witcher halo and gears of war are region specific
