    Xbox one games quit to dashboard on startup


    this issue has persisted for the previous week. Since the 8th of December, whenever I try to launch a game, digital or disc, it exits to dashboard after 10 seconds of loading. Happens for all of my games. Tried EVERY single troubleshooting tip given by support
    staff but no luck. Power cycling, removing profile from the console, deleting and reinstalling games, factory reset (( keeping and removing games and apps ) neither worked.) etc. I have a feeling it is an issue with the software and not my console or my games,
    because the issue occurred ever since the 8th december, which I checked and saw that is the date that the newest update was installed on my Xbox. Any help much appreciated, v frustrating

    Xbox One crash/glitch on startup

    Upon startup of Xbox One, the Xbox one logo appears and all, though looks quite glitchy, afterwards, instead of going to the dashboard, it just stays a black screen with no sound even when using the controller as if navigating through the dashboard.

    Help would be very much appreciated.

    Xbox plays disc automatically

    Hey KUJaYhAwk1028,

    The Xbox boots the game up automatically by default. You can change this setting by going to the Dashboard and by going to

    Settings> System> Console Settings> Startup and Shutdown> Startup.

    From there you can choose either
    Disc, Xbox Dashboard or Windows Media Center.

    Choose Xbox Dashboard to prevent the Xbox from booting the game up when you turn your Xbox on.

    Hey trapFreak! Are the games installed on an external drive or an internal drive? Do you get an error code when the games crash? Post back and let us know!
