    XBox One games on XBox 360 (Games with Gold)


    I have an XBox 360, it used to be really easy to add the free monthly (Games with Gold) XBox One games to my account every month. I could sign-on to XBox 360 console & click the game icon, then click download, it would then say "you own this" or something
    similar. For several months now, I either get an error when trying to click the XBox One games or when I click the XBox One game title on my XBox 360 console nothing happens (I can download the XBox 360 games no problem). This month, clicking on the XBox One
    titles on my console does nothing -- it doesn't open a description window (like nornmal, with screenshots of the game, download options & additional game content), it doesn't give me an error, it just makes the normal sound when you press the green "A" button.

    I thought perhaps I could add these free games to my account thru xbox.com. However, after I sign-in, I click the XBox One game titles on the Games with Gold page & it takes me to a game page to buy the game or "install on my device". I don't have an XBox
    One (yet) to download to, so that option is out as my only choice is to cancel.

    If I go to "My Games" on xbox.com and look under XBox One games, I see several titles (including this months games).

    Are all the titles in this list added to my account for downloading later?

    What did I click to add them to that list? Nothing on xbox.com indicates or notifies you of games being added to your account.

    Why is this process so difficult?

    It used to be very simple...

    (I know some people might say just to buy an XBox One & problem solved. Well, I'm not there yet.)

    Cannot purchase "free" 360 games on Xbox one or Xbox.com

    It has always been like that not unless there will be an update regarding in redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on the website. Xbox 360 marketplace has a different structure than on Xbox One Store. Xbox 360 games with gold on the website will need a payment
    method. In Xbox 360 console, you won't need one. Currently, you can't redeem Xbox 360 games with gold using Xbox One console and still under progress about redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on Xbox One console. Either get the games using an Xbox 360 console,
    or get the games on the website with a payment method.

    'Games with gold' is not on the front page of Xbox 360

    If anyone has Xbox 360 and see the 'games with gold' hyperlink on front page then please share a photo.

    Note do not confuse what was there 2 years ago, today 'games with gold' is not on front page on Xbox 360

    Games with gold is on Xbox one.

    If you do get an Xbox Live Gold membership for your Xbox 360 don't forget each month to redeem the Games WIth Gold games for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, this way if you do purchase an Xbox One at a later stage as long as you still have an active Gold
    subscription the Xbox One games will be available for you to download and play in addition to the Xbox 360 games.

    When Xbox games with gold existed u get Xbox 360 games free and Xbox one games free. The Xbox one games u claim for free are only free with a gold subscription when it was gold. Now it's gamepass core. But when Xbox games with gold was a thing the Xbox 360 games u get for free are permanent. But Xbox one games are not. U have to keep ur gamepass core to have access to your free to play Xbox one games with gamepass core that u claimed with gold back then.
