    XBOX ONE Games freeze when prompted to hit start button


    All XBOX ONE games freeze when start button is pushed to begin game. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

    Xbox Freezes in Theater Mode

    As soon as I hit the start film button my xbox freezes. If anyone else is in the game, their xbox freezes too.

    Xbox 360 won't play games, dvds, or run apps.

    Xbox starts up and connects fine. But if I try to run an app or game or even just a DVD, the screen goes black and stays there. When I hit the home button and hit return to dashboard it just freezes.

    While I don't know if this will help with this specific issue, generally when there is a freezing issue holding the Xbox logo on the front of your console for 10 seconds until it fully powers down and then rebooting it will help. If it doesn't, power it
    down using this method again and unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes and then try again. Please let me know if this helped!

    Xbox Freezes in Theater Mode

    When it freezes, give it a minute, it'll eventually start playing. I also usually hit the guide button when it freezes but not sure if that helps in any way.

    Game freezes whenever pressing the menu button.

    My Xbox One freezes whenever I hit the menu button to start the game too!! I still haven't seen an update available yet, except the update to my game, which didn't fix the freezing problem... I hope this is fixed soon!!!!

    It looks like all the posts are from last year, but mine just started doing it like a week or two ago (Feb 2015), what's going on?!
