Xbox One games discount cheaper on Microsoft store than Xbox Gold

Hello,

I bought Madden NFL 16 for Xbox One via the Gold discount for $35.99 the next day I saw the same game for $26.99 on the Microsoft store. I know it's only a $9.00 difference but what's the deal with Gold members paying more for a game when everyone else can
get it cheaper!! I called support to see if I can get a refund for the difference and was told that I would have to process a return for the game and then repurchase the game from the Microsoft site and then re-download the game. That's crazy!!

Xbox Live Discounts

That would of just been a random discount.

Can't ever remember there being a discount on xbox live gold based on gamerscore.

offers usually appear on your dashboard if your a silver account.

Other than that there are plenty of online stores that sell xbox live at a discount like electronicfirst.com

I beleive both stores have their own deals, so they can vary. Also the MS store offers disc based games, as well as download codes for games, so it could have been the disc game that was cheaper or something like that

Buy a 12 month pre-paid subscription card from a game store, a lot cheaper than the online price direct with Microsoft or from CDKeys like I do.

If you mean store credit (a Xbox store voucher) then yes.

Xbox or Microsoft store credit can be used against any item in the store, even if it's already discounted through specials, games with gold or a subscription discount such as Games Pass or EA Access.

Are you be chance sharing gold with someone? If so, you won't get the gold discounts. You have gold on your account directly, to use the gold discounts.

As for prices within a game, Xbox/Microsoft has no power over that if it's not connected to the Microsoft store.
