Xbox One Games Crashing Then Console Restarts

For the past week or so, whenever I play a game for 15 or so minutes, the game will freeze and have that distorted buzzing sound like the sound froze. Afterwards, the console resets itself.

I don't think it's an overheating issue because when it turns back on there isn't a notification saying that it overheated. I've tried doing the hard reset (holding the power button), I've tried plugging the power supply into the wall, I've tried unplugging
the power supply for a bit then plugging it back in, and nothing helps.

If it's faulty equipment and I have to request a repair I'm going to lose my mind, because this console is barely a half a year old and I'm already running into equipment trouble. Any help would be appreciated.

Cod aw crash

Anyone else had the problem of cod aw crashing and then it restarts the xbox one and returns to dashboard

Please update Horizon 4

The game keeps crashing when i open it regardless of how many times I restart the console and re-install the game.

Sorry you're having issues with your console. First just double check and make sure the power supply and xbox are in a well ventilated area. If you've already done the hard reset and left it unplugged for a while, and the issue is still happening, I would
suggest trying a factory reset following this link. If you still have issues after doing the factory reset, then you likely will need to
service your console.

Sorry to hear you've had this problem. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the console? If not, give that a shot to see if it helps. There is an option to keep installed games/apps so you won't have to reinstall them.

Another option may be to change your storage device. If the game is installed on the console's internal drive try an external drive instead. You can have up to 3 USB 3.0 external drives attached ranging in size from 256 GB - 16 TB for extra storage space.

There may possibly be a corrupted saved file on your console, causing the game to crash.

Try performing a Power Cycle:

Restart your console from the Power Center

Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
Select Restart console.
Select Restart.

Hi Mister Beep,

Not solved reinstall or clear storage, keeps crashing and restarting the console 5 in 5 minutes. I'm frustrated.

This makes it impossible to play these games of backward compatibility, only the xbox one games.

How exactly is it "crashing"?

Do you get an error message? Or is the screen black when you start the console? Are you able to start a game which then crashes to the Home Screen? Or does the game crash the console so it's restarting?
