[XBOX ONE] Games and Apps won’t launch

Every time I attempt to launch a game or open an app, I’m always spammed with error 0x8027o25a (game too too long to load). The system will then slow to about 1/4 speed and make very distorted sounds as I move the joystick around the screen.

I’ve tried power cycling multiple times and even a factory reset and nothing seems to be working

If unplugging the console for 10 seconds after you turn it off doesn't fix this (power cycle/hard reset) AND if other things are giving you this, you may have to check your recent system update for a problem and if not, a factory reset keeping games and
apps to fix this problem. Check your recent update status and to see if you have one pending in Settings > System > Console Info & Updates >. Check for "update pending" and also check "latest update status" for "failed". If it says failed you may need to do
a USB update but a factory reset keeping games and apps will most probably fix this. This keeps saves also and nothing else is lost - but you will need to redownload your profile and set any background images on your home screen again.

To do a factory reset keeping games and apps go here: Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps". You will see "preparing console" and it will reboot one or two times and may update the console. You will need to sign
in again with your account, so make sure you know the login information. This usually solves this problem.

You will need a USB flash drive at least 4GB in size, formatted to NTFS with a windows PC. Instructions for that are in the troubleshooter as well.

Clear the Microsoft Store cache

Press Windows + R to launch Run, type wsreset.exe, and hit Enter.

Once the reset process is finished, restart your PC and then check if the Windows Store App works as it should.

The Xbox App depends on the Microsoft Store App to run properly. So, if there is something wrong with the Store app, many apps won’t launch or won’t download anything.

In this case, resetting the Store cache can fix the problem, so make sure you do that by following the steps above.
