Xbox One Gamerpic Bug Report.

Greetings Xbox Support -- Please close this thread once you have read this and passed it along towards the development team.

There is a current bug I have discovered on the Xbox.com website.

If you change your gamer-picture via Xbox.com it only uses the thumbnail image and not the full resolution image of the gamer-pic as it does when you change it via the Xbox One console.

Let me show you an example.

This is how your gamer-picture appears on your profile if you change it from the Xbox One console.

I understand this is a very minor bug, but I figured it was best to go ahead and post it here, hoping an Official Xbox Support employee could pass it along to a developer who could remedy this.

Gamerpic bug?

When I take a picture using the website, it doesn't actually change the gamerpic used on my profile.

From the site:Change your gamer picture on your console in Settings, Profile, Edit Profile, Gamer Picture

You can only change/set/update your Gamerpic on the Xbox.

 

The two images you've posted look exactly the same.

 

The first image is a full-res version of the gamer-picture.

The second image is a thumbnail-res version of the gamer-picture.

I've just been reading over this thread, after having the posts e-mailed to me.

Firstly, I would like to say that, regardless of who is saying what to who, and regardless about which medium you're using to contact each other; threatening or abusive messages are not tolerated.

Daft Badger, you should know not to discuss such actions and publicly, and instead report them so that XBLPET can deal with it, otherwise you're just starting a fire.

Roe Parc Ranger, we're certainly not, and most of the time we're a lovely bunch, but we all have our off days!

Back on topic (and keep it that way...):

I have checked the images provided, and yes, there is a noticeable difference. The borders of the objects are fuzzy on the thumbnail-resolution image, aka, not high-quality.

As such, I will post this up in the private Preview forums, so that the development team can get this resolved.
