    Xbox One Gameplay Capturing


    When I try to capture gameplay clips by saying, "Xbox Record that" or "Xbox record what happened", it doesnt record the full amount of time. I have my settings set to 30 second clips but it records them for different amounts of time. Some times it will record
    for :08 and sometimes for :14 or whatever, but never the full 30 seconds. I think I have plenty of storage on my hard drive, with 42% of hard drive available, 154.7 GB free.

    Secondary issue is that the clips don't have sound. I use a headset during gameplay.

    My TV is set to 1080P Resolution.

    The capture and share settings are set to "Allow game captures - Captures by me"....."Record What Happened - 30 seconds", "Automatically upload - don't upload", "Game clip resolution - 1080p SDR" and "Capture location - internal"

    Any and all help would be greatly appreciated...

    Are you wanting to record shows from the TV, or gameplay?

    If it's gameplay, you would need an external video capture device and software to record the gameplay.

    If it's TV programs, no. Live TV cannot be recorded from an Xbox One.

    Sometimes background noise can interfere with the voice commands. A better way of doing that is the press the Xbox light button quickly and then pressing X. This will record up to the 30's fully for you and doesn't take you out of the game long.

    Thanks for yall's help. I was trying to avoid having to do that but it may be the only answer. Thanks for the quick response!
