Xbox One game update questions

Hello,

Turned my Xbox One on last night and I noticed there was a update for both Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5. So Forza started downloading first and DR3 was put on hold. So I figured it would take some time as there has been issues with Virgin BB in our area the past
few days. So my internet is very slow at the moment. After an hour Forza was on 53% (told you my BB is slow at the moment). So I turned the xb1 off assuming the update would still download while off (like on 360/ps4). Came on today and update had not downloaded
while the XB1 was off.

So I started it again where it left off at 51%. An hour later I came back only to find that Forza had stopped downloading and now DR3 update was now downloading at 32%. So I paused the DR3 update and selected Forza to continue with it's update. 30 minutes
later I come back and again it has switched to DR3 again. I gave up and just allowed it to do DR3 first. I checked on it again a while later and it has now swapped to Forza download?

So my first question. XB1 supports downloading while turned off right? If so how do I enable this? 2nd question can anyone tell me why it keeps jumping between updating my games. I just want it to focus on updating one game then to move over the next one
when the first one is done. But it just keeps switching between updates.

Better together update xbox one

Hello I bought two days ago minecraft Xbox one edition and I don't know about the better together update, my question is can I still update mi game or not?

 

Most of my games update without me launching them. Do you have the console set to instant on? That enables background downloads.

 

Firstly, if you have slow net, try downloading one thing at time...

Yeah X1 support downloads, but only while in standby mode. I have my setting so that when my X1 is off, that its off.

You would have picked your preference in your initial set up, go check settings to change it.

 

I've had a similar experience to you, OP. I've queued up a bunch of stuff, one item will start to download, then the next time I look, that item is paused at, say, 45%, and a different item is downloading. I don't know why it decides to switch to a different
item on the list, but it would be better if it did them all sequentially.
