Hey, Microsoft allow you to define your 'Home' console. Any gamertag will be able to play your purchased content on the 'Home' console. You will be able to play your purchased content on any other xbox when you are signed into live. I also believe anyone
will be able to play your purchased content on the non-home xbox IF you are currently signed in. I can not confirm that last statement as I have not tested it myself, but I believe I had read that this behavior was supported.

@DarthCleric has already made it CLEAR.

He has two X1's and he's already confirmed that anyone can play on the "home" Xbox and he can sign-in and play the same game on another console SIMULTANEOUSLY.

End of discussion.

If you had read the entire thread no one is disputing the fact that you can play the same game simultaneously. The question is......Is it intended and if so why can no one find anything from Microsoft that specifically says you can and the location guidelines
for "home consoles".

It's in violation of the publishers and developers EULA's so the next question is what can happen to our digital libraries if they decide to enforce their EULA's.

This should be a concern to everyone. Several people have now asked MS for clarification and still no response which is strange for an intended feature that can't be done on any other platform and in itself could be a console seller.
which is strange for an intended feature that can't be done on any other platform
Say what?

Sony deliberately used their original five systems-per-license as a selling point. They later reduced it to two systems. To this day, it's two systems. Sony's system binds accounts to specific consoles, with that binding being changeable on the fly.

Are you referring to me as "jumping all over the x1"?

I'm not bashing the One. If it's an intended feature and MS confirms that it has developer/publisher support, that there are no restrictions on home console locations......I'll be getting a free game for every game I purchase.....why would I bash that?

You're the first person to say it works on the PS4, numerous people in another forum said it didn't so can you confirm it does on your 2 PS4's?

I own a PS4. If I purchase another one today and install my digital copy of BF4 on it I can play it on both consoles simultaneously? Single purchase, same time, two consoles.

@Randver - MS haven't said anything further because most people would take their description of the existing feature to mean exactly that. It isn't MS's job to constantly respond to your "concerns".

I know it's "worrying" for you - since simultaneous game-play is according to you (in your past three months of supporting The U-Turn) not possible because of EULA. Maybe you were wrong after all.

Either way I don't care (and I don't see why anyone should) - it works the way we want and we can be grateful to MS for that.

Also, you're wrong about licenses on the 360. You're doing something wrong on your end.

I have the Games on Demand version of Assassin's Creed II. The console license is on my MW3 console. I just downloaded it to my Halo 4 console. I can play the game on my MW3 console using a different Silver gamertag, and at the same time play it on my Halo
4 console with my gamertag. If I sign out of my gamertag on the Halo 4 console, the game won't start. If I'm signed in, it starts just fine in parallel with the MW3 console copy.

With rare exception (other than avatar items), Marketplace content comes with two license. Those licenses can be used simultaneously.

12. Lord Randver if you are this paranoid about the legal issues than dont do it. I've never in my life seen or heard someone so concerned over taking advantage of MS, a billion dollar company who screws us the consumers over every chance they get. Do you live
your day to day life with the same paranoria over minor issues or laws we all bend or stretch such as the Speed Limit, herbel medicine, etc? I've read 2 thread pages and you would think you are trying to be talked into robbing a bank. I however was not aware
you could do this either and whether its a loop hole they will patch or something that they fully expect us to take advantage of I do not know(though COMMON SENSE would lead me to believe this will be patched as there is no way the manafactues or game developers
would support friends buying one game and others friends playing it simutaneously)I will take advantage of it till they stop it. Now I shall read the other 3 or more pages of threads an see if you continue to whine in a state of paranoria like a kid who has
just realized there is no santa claus or you finally man up and take advantage of a company who would take your last dime and leave you homeless on the streets. I would say that if you are this worried than SIMPLY don't do it. Trust your intuition.

I take the existing description as sharing a library which I believe is the intended purpose. Someone can play PvZ on my home console while I play Ryse on my gamertag.

What many of you are seeing it as is in simplest terms is a buy one, get one free deal on every digital game purchased. If that's intended why is MS not specifically advertising it? You kill disc sales in one day.

Every publisher and developer would need to approve this because they are losing a sale yet none of their EULA's have been changed to reflect allowing more than one end user.

@Boss Snoop

I actually found a forum with people like you that believe that it is a loophole that they can exploit. They are looking for "home console" swap partners. What happens it does get "patched out" and the publisher and developers come to MS with open hands
looking for their lost revenue. Currently MS can say "'we didn't allow it and they will be punished". Like you said....multi billion dollar company, all about profit...who do you think is going to be on the losing end. Us or them?

On the other hand we have numerous people here saying it's an intended feature. If they can prove it, then great, free games and no risk.

@Randver - there are plenty of people that will only own one X1 and don't intend to give their login details to other friends/family. Hence unlikely this is making as much of an impact as you suggest.

And maybe MS are keeping quiet because they want to keep the disc retailers (Game etc) happy as they provide highstreet "coverage".

I already buy digital only specifically for features such as this. I went on holiday and they had an Xbox there (connected to the internet) - I logged in, downloaded a game, and played in my spare time. Bliss.
