    Xbox One game purchases won't download.


    Games I have bought and/or gotten for free via games with gold won't download. They stay at 0% or Queued.

    I have uninstalled them to get them out of 0% installation mode but now none of them will install at all.

    Also, updates aren't installing. The same thing happens.

    I've checked my connection, have tons of space, and have tried to reinstall the games.

    Please Help

    can't install Sam & Max Save the World

    XBox chat support said they couldn't find a record of my purchase but then acknowledged there's an issue with the game. I can download it on the 360 and it shows in my purchase history on the site, but still won't work on Xbox One. What's the deal?

    Missing Xbox 360 game purchase

    Hi, I was hoping somebody could help me. One of my Xbox 360 Arcade game purchases is missing from both my purchase and download histories, and the page for the game won't let me download it without rebuying it. Is there a way to fix this?

    (Note: I am using the account the purchase was made on, before anyone asks. I have only ever had one Xbox account.)

    Edit: The game in question is Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax. I have checked on the stores on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Xbox website, but it doesn't show as purchased anywhere.

    Is the game already installed on your Xbox One? If so then, it won't appear as a download.

    Also make sure you are searching for the game with the account that you purchased it on.

    To explain a bit why that won't work:

    The Xbox One doesn't understand the "language" in which the Xbox 360 games are stored on disc or USB. The disc for physical copies is just a "proof of purchase" for the Xbox One, and the actual code for running the game on the Xbox One is downloaded from
    the Xbox Marketplace in a "translated" language the Xbox One can understand.

    If you installed a game from disc on an USB drive, it's missing the "proof of purchase" license the disc would provide.

    If it were a digital download game, it would show up under Ready to Install in your account's Games and Apps, and you could simply download it for free, as the "proof of purchase" for a digital download game is stored in your account.

    However without a disc, there is no proof of purchase, and you can't install the game on the Xbox One.

    When you purchase content from one store, that content won't migrate to another one, given that you didn't purchased or downloaded the game from that store to begin with. The credits you've bought on the Microsoft Store won't migrate to your Steam title.

    If you got it from there, that's why it's not in your download / purchase history. You never "purchased" the game directly from the marketplace to tie it to your account. Because it's not tied to your account, it won't show up in the ready to install section
    of your Xbox One.
