Xbox one game pass

Hello there,

I am hoping to get a little help. I have been reading that xbox one game pass works the same as xbox live gold does *where as you can family share your xbox gold pass membership*. I have been having trouble getting it working. Here is my situation.

I have two xbox ones in my home. One for me, one for my son. Both consoles have an xbox live membership (but his is silver and mine is gold).

On his xbox, I signed in as my profile, and made his xbox my 'home xbox'. I then switched to his profile. This gave him access to my library when he signs in as his profile, and also gives him access to xbox gold membership through me.

When I open xbox live gold pass though on his console (as his profile) it asks me to buy a subscription to it. In fact, the only way I can access any of the games is if I sign back into my profile on his account.

What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to fix it so my son can access xbox gold pass and select his own games that he wants to play, without having to sign into my profile to do so? (Obviously this is a problem because we both cant use the same profile
at the same time)

All Season Passes bought on 360 can be transferred to an Xbox One

Any season pass you buy on an Xbox 360 can be transferred to an Xbox One when you buy one. Seems a good idea for games like BF4 and CoD Ghosts.

Game pass itself is not shared between accounts, but the games you download from it are. So you would just need to sign into your account to download the game and then your son would be able to access it from his.

 

Like Smwutches said basically you would sign into your account on his xbox go to the game pass area choose which game you want to install from the game pass and once installed it will show up in the installed games section in my games and apps and he would
be able to play the game from there as long as his console is set as your profiles home console.
