    Hi Everyone.

    Hope you can help! Bit of a complex setup... Please bear with me - kind of a 2-part question. I'm Dad to two sons. I'm not a Gamer but I work in I.T. and I understand the authentication demands of different setups and content providers.

    Once upon a time, we only had one console in the house, we established that BOTH my sons needed to have their own LIVE/GOLD account in order to play with and talk to their own separate group of friends - but this was only on
    FIFA. We had a GOLD subscription and had family sharing set up, but FIFA was the issue. All other games were OK with one shared family membership, but one of my sons complained if he wanted to play FIFA using his own ID, he could not. He had
    to play FIFA online pretending he was his big brother - if using his own controller / ID online Fifa/Origin stuff wasn't OK. His big brother was the original account set up on the XBOX. We went through literally every setting imaginable.

    We eventually got to the point where we understood that in order for each of my sons to be able to play FIFA online with friends, playing, and identifying as themselves, each needed their own GOLD/Live subscription - and I gave in.

    My two sons now EACH have an XBOX One console and all is well, but I've been asked if I can go down the route of Game Pass Ultimate. Assuming I do this, I know each of the boys will be wanting those same features. So if I do buy this, do I have to upgrade
    both the subscriptions? Or did anyone manage to figure out how to use a ONE subscription household to make two brothers each be able to play FIFA with their own username? Particularly now we have 2 consoles in the house...

    Thank you for taking the time to reply. This is similar to the way we were set up previously. Do you happen to know specifically if the FIFA restrictions are still in place? I should mention that all our games are on disk, not downloads, although I suspect
    this might change soon.

    You can add the subscription to one of their account. The one with the subscription would then set the console of the other brother as their Home console in order to share the subscription with them. They can then sign in and use their subscription on their

    Things to keep in mind are that Game Pass itself does not share, but the games downloaded from it do. So the brother who has the subscription on their account would have to start the game downloads on their account, and then the brother without the subscription
    can access the game.

    The xbox one console was setup as the home console. There are two xboxes - one at dads and one at mom's. Only the parent account on both consoles had access to ultimate game pass.

    Hi Linus!

    The Xbox Live Gold and PC Game Pass subscription are two different subscriptions. Those subscriptions only get converted if you had the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or when you purchase Xbox Game Pass Ultimate while having those in your account. It only applies to Ultimate because it does include already the Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass , and EA Play.

    When the EA Play member benefit unlocks for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, users who have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play purchased through the Microsoft Store will have their EA Play membership canceled and any remaining time over 50 days will
    be rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:1.

    For example, if you have between 50 days and 3 months of EA Play already on your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account. If you have between 4 months and 6 months of EA Play already on
    your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account.
