Xbox One Game Installation

Hello i bought Forza 5 Motorsport in the Xbox store today .

I started the installation and the progress standing still at 1% since 30 Minutes .

My Download speed is about 5Mb /s so why the installation is so realy slow ?

Hi,

I think that could be that many people were also installing this game. Did you receive status "queued" when that happened?

Its in the Queued list on the left side yes

Hi,

If that happens, I suggest that you turn off your console, unplug the power supply from your console and the wall. Wait for 30 seconds then plug it back to the wall and your console, start the installation again. See if that works! Sometimes I also ran into
this kind of problems, and I just unplug the cord for 30 seconds and plug it back to my console and wall, then it finally worked!!!

Thanks that worked and now its at 32 percent and increases slowly

Kinda sad we have to power cycle it to do everything when it should not even happen. There's to many problems with the one.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are noticing random games installing onto your Xbox One Console. If this console is not your home Xbox, someone else's profile may be set as home. If this happens, any new games that person installs will then install
on other consoles. To prevent this from happening, you can adjust you settings to not install games remotely; check out this article:

PS4 games have to be installed, same as Xbox One. The installation speed is faster on PS4, but the game still installs.

Thanks for your post. To clarify, are you asking about games on the Xbox One or Xbox 360? A game disc acts as a license to a game, on the Xbox One, the disc allows you to install the game data to your console, even though it is installed on the console you
will still need the disc in your device to launch the content.
