    Xbox One/Game Install, Update and Sign in Problem


    As the post says, I have been having problems with the games not updating and or at times my Xbox won't sign in, only giving me the load screen, but then fix itself (at time's), Is anyone having this problem

    BF:BC2 disc not working right.

    I have discovered it's a common problem with misc. games after the last dashboard update. All you have to do tho is sign out of Xbox Live and then install. After it installs you can sign back into Live and still play game from hard drive. Hope this helps!

    installing is so screwed up!

    Microsoft has very predictible and stable downloading and installs for the 360. Phil Spencer said Xbox One install problems are one of his highest priority issues to fix on the Xbox One. Question: with all of the software and hardware experience Microsoft has, how could they launch the One with install issues this severe and why hasn't it been fixed in an update.? Were almost a year in and people are still having problems with game installation.

    Xbox One/Game Install, Update and Sign in Problem

    Is your console set to "Instant On" mode ( in which case games should update automatically so you probably wouldn't realise ) or "Energy Saving" mode?

    I know in the past when I've re-installed a game I had problems with the game not updating ( My console is on Energy Saving mode ) but switched it to "Instant On", left it for a few hours and when I came back it had updated.

    First thing I would try though is doing a Hard Reset of the console to see if that fixes it. ( When the console is on, hold the power button on front of console for about 5-10 seconds, you will hear it beep and then shut down, once shut down unplug the power
    lead from back of console, leave for 5 minutes, plug back in and fire it up )

    Hopefully the above will sort it, if not post back and I'm sure others will be able to give some advice. Wouldn't do no harm ( if the above fails ) requesting a call from Xbox Support.

    I did if I left it on the instant on setting for an extended period of time. Give it a hard reset and it should solve it.

    I did if I left it on the instant on setting for an extended period of time. Give it a hard reset and it should solve it.

    The most common problem is updates. Make sure to decline any updates as it is installing. For some reason, allowing the updates to install while the game is installing causes issues. You can always queue the updates after the base game is installed.
