Xbox one game failed to install

Discus and support Xbox one game failed to install in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I got cod bo3 for Xbox one s (2nd hand) I put the game in (no wifi), At 20% installation it let me play zombies but stopped at 41% the Xbox says...     Xbox one game failed to install


    I got cod bo3 for Xbox one s (2nd hand) I put the game in (no wifi), At 20% installation it let me play zombies but stopped at 41% the Xbox says installation stopped. I uninstalled, restarted and connected wifi, now it wants 42 GIG UPDATE! The game works
    on the owners console but not mine please help !

    Ok, the box is updated, so if ifactory reset, will it reset the os to its factory version ?

    HI S3XYduck. When installing you will be given a prompt as to when the game is "ready to start". Unfortunately this does not mean that all features/game modes are unlocked. If you wish to play the game offline without the 42gb update, there is a way you
    can play the game offline- but you will have to install all core data from the disc onto your xbox (its better to leave this to install whilst you're away from the console).

    Well the guy i baught the xbox from was playing forza horizon 4 fine. I tried some 360 games but they dnt want to load because they needed updates. I also deleated all data from the xbox and its showing 300 of 500Gig storage for use

    Install offline & let it fully install the game. Take your console back online, it should say you need to update, do so.... you basically wanna install the full game before installing the update. This has happened a few times with me.

    Hi, has the original owner never connected his xbox up to xbox live? as his may well have downloaded lots of smaller updates than one large one, to get a game installed quicker its always best to let the game install whilst not connected to xbox live otherwise
    it will install and update all in one go, also its better to let the game fully install without playing it whilst only partially installed.

    You may well have to do that update to fully be able to play the game and access all its content.
