Xbox One Game DVR not working. Error 0x80040212

I recently tried recording clips using the X button on the snap screen. I have tried this about 5 different times on Battlefield 4. I get the popup saying that the game clip has been recorded, and it shows up in my notifications, but whenever I try to view
it in Upload, I get the message

"Try a different game clip

That one was deleted or never published. (0x80040212)"

I have tried restarting my console, turning game DVR off and on again, and have tried several different games, all with the same result. This is occurring for both manually recorded clips, and auto-recorded clips.

I am playing on the Xbox One in Grand Rapids, MI. I have the latest system update.

Xbox One DVR Error

Hey everyone! I wanted to see if anybody else is having issues using the DVR? Up until about 2 weeks ago everything recorded fine but not every clip I attempt to record and play gives me an error 0X80040212 "That one was deleted or never published". Anybody
else having this issue?!?

it does allow me to record more frequently since the may update on cod ghosts, but sometimes it wont work and i noticed when it doesnt work going to the main menu and back into the game fixes it. and the times it does not work there is no notification for
a clip even being recorded when i use the command "xbox record that" and then that command does not work and i try to manually record it with the dvr snapped i get an instant error code: 80004005, but since the update i never gotten the 0x80040212 error code
so i guess the may update was a step forward to the dvr feature always working.

 

I'm getting this same error. I've been recording clips of Destiny using the Kinect's Xbox Record That command. Ever since the update, none of the clips have shown up in Upload. When I click on the notification, I also get the 0x80040212 error code and message
that the clip was never published.

I also tried manually ending a clip using the Game DVR and ran into the same problem.

 

Can you see your game clips in Smartglass?

 

Check to make sure your status is not set to Appearing Offline. This prevents Twitch broadcasting and may affect recording of clips as well.

 

After hard resetting my xbox one (holding down the power button on the console for 10 seconds) and rebooting, I am able to record clips again. The clips I had previously recorded remain lost, though.

And, just in case anyone else runs into this, I was not able to see the clips in Smartglass, either (and still can't see the missing clips), and I was set to Appear Online.

 

I am appearing online, and I don't use Smartglass. I just tried the hard reset...
