    Hey guys I just bought a Xbox one, need help Trying to record gameplay longer than 30 seconds for my Upcoming youtube channel. Does anyone know how to record for longer periods of time?

    Game DVR problem

    Hey Guys,

    In my xbox one app for Windows 10 i cant record with Game DVR.

    When i go to Settings and press on the Game DVR button it calls

    ,,A Problem is occurred please try again later´´

    can someone help me please?

    Xbox One Game DVR Help

    If you snap the DVR you should be able to start the recording & end it when you want but you can only record 5 minutes at a time.

    Is there a different recording app than the DVR that's default with the Xbox?

    No,afraid not.

    You would need to buy an separate recording device if you want to record anything longer than 5 minutes at a time.

    Xbox One Game DVR Help

    There aren't any aftermarket recording apps for the Xbox One. If you want to record longer than 5 mins, your only option, other than buying an external capture card, is to stream to Twitch and switch on "Archive Broadcasts" in your settings on the twitch.tv

    Sadly, so far it is not possible to disable this button but a workaround that might help you is to disable the GAME DVR.

    To disable Xbox Game DVR on your Xbox One, hit the Xbox button and head to Settings. Joystick down to ‘Preferences, then select ‘Capture & share’. Toggle the first option, ‘Allow game captures’, from ‘Captures by me or games’ to ‘Don’t capture’ to disable Xbox Game DVR. Alternatively, you can toggle this option to ‘Captures by me’.
