Xbox one game cancelled?

I dont even post anymore, but N7 what kind of rubbish are you speaking? Sony owns Spider Man? Really? So Marvel has nothing to do with Spider Man? Sony owns the film rights to make the Spider Man movies. And clearly Activision owns the rights to produce
games. There isnt some sort of conspiracy going on to keep Spider Man of all games off xbox one.

 

Actually 24hrs sony pictures does own the rights to Spider-Man.

No reason has been given as to why the game has been delayed or cancelled. Without wishing to be disparaging about other Activision games, they are not always that focussed on quality (especially when it comes to movie tie ins) so I doubt the delay is due
to frame rate or other technical issues.

However, Activision are very business minded and quickly close down games if there is no profit, perhaps they think the install base for Xbox One is too low to justify the release.

Rather amusingly the game is still scheduled for release on the struggling Wii U

It looks like this isn't set in stone yet, and Activision is working to rectify the situation for Xbox One owners. An Activision representative passed along the following quotes regarding this story:

“We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One. Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on April 29, 2014 as previously
announced.”

 

Cheers DuFFuL i new i was right that sony owned it that is why in the first spider man and the second one all you saw was sony stuff i new they owned it

 

i'll just get it on PC and wait for them to have the drivers for the X1 controller out before I do pick it up...maybe wait till a price drop. I'm in no rush.
