Xbox one game cancelled?

This is hilarious and exactly why I got rid of my X1 for the PS4, this is now the second game failing to launch on the X1.....

I really hope your DX-12 magic pill makes the X1 more developer friendly, or all you guys will have is a big box that bridges all your lounge room hardware together!

Wild you know XBOX are not what MS makes most it money on. It WINDOWS OS, computer softwear and services on the internet. Only small amount is from XBOX. So what money MS made on XBOX is chump change compairing other parts of MS.

 

To the people moaning about the (now altered by mods) thread title:

Game's is an abbreviation of "game is", not the plural of game.

I'm sure the truth will come out about the delay / cancellation of this game. I'm guessing Microsoft put pressure on activision to release a version on par with the PS4 version, as resolutiongate has hit their reputation and their sales. But activision were
unwilling or unable to spend the time effort and money to do so.

Someone said this is the 2nd cancelled game. What was the first? FF14?

FF XIV was never coming to the One or even the 360. Rumor was Microsoft wanted a cut of the monthly subscription fees.

I'd be willing to bet this is about money too. Blizzard not confirming D3 for the One, we aren't seeing nearly the number of indie releases we should be and now this. I'm not sure what goes on behind the scenes as far as contracts go but that seems much
more likely than a resolution or performance issue.

 

Or they aint released it on xbox yet because sony have paid them money not to. RANDVER we all know u like sony so dont be bias. sony no longer own any part of SE so FF could come to xbox in the future. please show us a link for this "rumor" you speak of.

It was only a rumor for FF XIV, it's been confirmed over and over by other developers. Just look at the pile of dead MMO's that were supposedly coming to the 360 and the reasons they never saw the light of day.

Again I'm labeled a Sony fanboy for posting a fact. You Kool-Aid drinkers need a serious reality check.

 

How can you make a game for less than a million customers? Spiderman is great but never been a huge sell or even 20 percent of console sales.

Xbox one needs to step up and guarantee game developers more money until there is more customers.

 

i dont even see why spider man is coming to next gen it wont look any dif on last gen or next gen its just a port. then again its activision they will grab money no matter what

 

We will see the movie and again buy the game. Just not for x1. Again

 

Does any one actually even care about this game. Most movie tie in games are pretty lame anyway. At most it might be worth hiring for a night or 2.

 

I was really looking forward to this game coming to Xbox One. Not because it was supposed to be the best game out there, but because it was a NEW game out there for the Xbox One. They didn't just delay this game , they completely removed this version from
their website. Microsoft needs as many games in their catalog as possible right now and this problem does not help their competition against Sony. To me, this is a start of a trend we are going to be seeing with Xbox One games. Game Developers have already
stated how they don't have an interest in making everything about the Kinect and how difficult making games for this system is. Don't be surprised to see this happen to more third party games.

 

Haha. So one game gets cancelled, no one knows the reason why yet and you think this is a new trend that's going to effect the xbox one. Ok then. I will respectfully disagree.

 

The thing, Creeper, is that the more time you spend with something, the better you get at it. This applies to us when we play our games as well as the developers who work with the console. If a developer is not willing to learn how to develop for a system
that's harder to use, how can they ever become better as developers if they actively choose not to challenge themselves?

Besides, we've been hearing a lot lately about DX12 and how developing for the console is supposedly going to get easier pretty soon.

 

iv seen the movie in 3D its very good i was getting it for xbox one but cancelled it a week ago if i do get it i pay get it for 360 even if it is out on xbox one. @GH0STCREEPER wolfenstein is out soon and watchdogs and sniper elite the game isnt cancelled
its just not got a date yet i still think its sonys doing as they own spider man
