xbox one game achievements not popping up on screen

So my wife and my daughter and I aren't getting our achievements notification when we're playing games. All 3 of us have played through Assassins Creed Unity and none of us received any achievements whatsoever in game - yet opening "Xbox Go To Achievements"
via kinect, they are in there. Now I'm playing Shadow of Mordor - same thing. I just unlocked the 50th Ithilien artifact, but no pop up - went straight to the achievements thing via Kinect and there it is.

Anyone know why? i've tried changing power settings and no change.

Xbox support has said to create a forum post about this.

My xbox one achievements aren't popping up on screen, but when i go into my activity feed it shows that I've unlocked them. Is there a way to fix this?

my achievements are not popping up on the screen when i earn them, but when i go to the achievements list it says i earned them there just isn't a notification on my screen for earning the achievement, I've only been having this problem with the xbox one

 

Hi PlaysWithPhire, you might have your notifications turned off, this should help you turn them back on

I know we certainly didn't disable those notifications, I suspect it happened with a dashboard update. I also wonder why the people at Xbox Support don't know to suggest this?

 

Sadly Im having the same issues. I still cant figure it out. Ive checked all my settings and completed a hard reset a couple times. Any other ideas?

 

I have same problem, I don't receive any notification (achievements, messages, friends invites, friends online, etc.)

All notification turned on, hard reset, clear cache, factory defaults didn't work
