Sales relative to what exactly? So by your theory the 360 and PS3's were failures because 1st off the PS3 sold about half of what the PS2 did and both the 360 and PS3 were outsold by over 70 million to the wii. Are you trying to imply MS is going to axe
the xbox? quit gaming? over a few million consoles? Last i checked they still have a ton of games in development, are launching in new markets next month, and just opened up more studios. All your trying to do is turn it into a fanboy war but you don't have
enough intelligence to make a good enough argument for it. So your basically just making yourself look immature and uneducated

Um, the future of Xbox is bright?

 

Sales matters heavily.

Biggest reason is, the more of a particular gaming console sold, means not only more games for said console over the life of said console, but also gamers being able to easily find other gamers with which to play those games with/against online at any given
time of day/night.

At this particular stage in the 'game.' (almost 2 yrs in) S is selling consoles, while M is still wondering. 'Duhh, which way do we go George? WHICH WAY DO WE GO??'

 

Seems Microsoft already knows where they're going....

Halo.

Killer Instinct.

Crackdown.

Gears of war.

Fable.

Forza.

Quantum break

Ect....

3 millions isn't a bad number in 13 countries...Never got a problem to find people to play with.

 

Get the console that has the games you want to play.

MS has a great line up and an even better line up coming.

Sony also has some games that look very interesting coming down the pipe but honestly not very many exclusives at the moment that interest me. (I played TLOU on PS3)

It's a tough call.

Neither console is in trouble though. Sales #s for both are very encouraging this early.

I have both because I've always owned more then one console going back as far as Nintendo/Sega days.

 

"Almost two years in". Yea if you have a time machine, it's 10 months since launch.

 

While I do agree that sales of the Xbox One are important, I would argue that its sales are far more important to MS and the developers than it is for us as the consumers. They're the ones who need to know how much is being sold so they can tell whether
they're succeeding at making a profit. We on the other hand, don't need to know how much money they're making or how much is being sold (especially against the competition). All we need to know is if the Xbox One works great, has great games, and has a bright
future ahead of it - the Xbox One meets all of these requirements. Last time I checked, MS was breaking its own sales records and exceeding its profit projections too, which means they're not going anywhere anytime soon. As I said, the future of the Xbox One
is looking bright.

 

@ GG disagree if you want said brand console and said brand console you support then it doesn't really matter. You will support brand x no matter what.

But the lack of sales info from MS doesn't give the consumer much confidence for the future. If MS have no confidence in the sales of the One then why does it deserve to sell ?

Really the approach regarding games to the One is no different to the 360. MS have the rest of 2014 planned out recently well.

2015 though is a whole different ball game, Gears, Halo and Quatum Break seem to be the only incoming games for the One in 2015.

 

WC, there's no reason for MS to release their sales info to us - they're perfectly within their rite to withhold that information from us. And I assure you that they are confident about the money they're making (although not necessarily the direction they
were going in); they've already mentioned that they've broken their own records and are exceeding their profit margins, which is all they need to succeed and all we need to know as consumers (as I've already said).

As for games coming out in the future, there's still plenty of time for more games to be announced for 2015 and the years to come.

Anyone who thinks the console is floundering is worrying far too much than they need to be.

 

Gears in 2015 ??????

With the release of Halo Guardians,fall 2015,Black Tusk got enough time to release a Gears of war in 2016....1 exclusive shooter per year is enough.

By the way,you forgot in 2015,Fable Legens,Happy wars,Below,Rise of the Tomb Raider,.....

Don't worry,Microsoft still supports Xbox one for years to come,despite some might think.....

 

Again like others have said, compared to the PS4, XB1 sales look bad but taking into account the terrible run up to launch XB1 had, DRM, no DRM etc, the price difference to PS4, Kinect ( which was a huge sticking point ) plus the fact XB1 is still available
in ALOT less regions than PS4 yet it has still outsold the Xbox 360 ( which was a huge success in the long run ) in the same time period, I don't think Microsoft are panicking but you got to give Sony credit in how they handled the launch, very smart indeed.

I always think back to the PS3 launch, the hiccups, price yet it got there in the end. XB1 will be here for a long time to come and Microsoft have the resources to make sure it is a success but of course people are already writing it off just like people
did with the PS3 all those years back but again it got there in the end.
