xbox one future

I'll go with what's been said above.

Doesn't matter which one has sold more, or which will sell more over the coming years but both will be around for quite some time to come so pick the one which has the games you want to play.

@shaggy2000 yea power isnt all about a console but it does help. everybody knew ps3 was powerfull but had a 360 becouse of online play. i had 360 for 7years before going to ps4.

i know you cant tell the future but as we stand xbox isnt in a great position if the 10million console sold by sony is correct information.

 

@OP may I ask what difference does it make how many PS4 sold compared to the XB1 and how that may influence YOUR decision? I am confused about how 10 people owning a PS4 helps YOU out by also owning one?

 

And if your worried because XB1 hasn't sold as many as PS4, don't forget XB1 is still to be released in more regions/countries, not saying it will catch the PS4 in sales but it will bump the numbers up.

Again though, both XB1 and PS4 will be around for years to come yet so just go for the one that suits "you" best.

 

Buy the one that has the exclusives you want. If you want both sets of exclusives, buy both.

Xbox One isn't going anywhere from an MS perspective.

Sales figures are irrelevant at the moment as the PS4 is available in a 100 territories compared to 13 for the Xbox One. MASSIVE difference.

Btw, Fifa 15 has the Ultimate team legends exclusive to Xbox.

 

PS4 10 Million Sold and Xb1 5 million. Games PS4 indies. XB1 Triple AAA. I would be more worried about SONY and the PS4 future than MS and Xbox. Also Xbox isn't going any where The first XBOX didn't even get close the PS2. The PS3 was lose at first to the
XBOX 360 but came back at the end. Let not forget the Wii it sold more than XBOX and PS3.

 

Sales are irrelevant at this point and time. Put it into perspective,the PS3 had limited community features. Now the Ps4 has a better network (Still not Xbox Live, and vulnerable to hacks and attacks), and community features that were lacking last generation.
So PS loyals ran to get the successor.

While the 360 still has a strong base. A lot of 360 users still see no reason to get an Xbox One at the moment. The sales are really being overblown, and put out of perspective.

And E3 2013 backlash should be brought to attention as well.

Just to keep this sales thing to rest at least in xbox forums ...... xbox is really doing well that too with this negative publicity xbox one is getting on internet. my reason is below

I am from India and X1 is for pre-order right now (launching 23-Sep) for $662 (Yes its $662 and PS4 is selling at same price with no discounts) with $165 worth of discounts on accessories. This was an offer ($165 discount of accessories) for the first 1000
pre-orders. X1 pre-orders are exclusive only on Amazon where most of the Indians like Flipkart here. It went on pre-order on second week of Aug and i thought it would take rest of August to achieve 1000 pre-orders. To my shock pre-orders are done in less than
a week. It now has $100 worth of discount on accessories. And me including my friends haven't ordered because we are hardcore Halo fans. We are waiting for Halo MCC ltd edi console to be announced soon.

This is purely my guess: X1 will be available in 29 new countries. If these 29 new countries have a minimum of 1000 pre-orders then its 290,000. But it will be much more than that. My guess is by Sep end X1 will gain close to 1.5mil in sales or even more.
There are lot of people who din want to buy X1 from grey markets or getting it shipped from available markets. Come this holiday season it will more in sales as Halo will hit the market.

simplest example is me: I travel and been to USA in April, Italy in June. I've visited Target, Best buy stores in USA to play X1 on display(after work) but din pick up just for one reason. There is no service available once i get the console to India. I
din want to take that pain in sending it to USA again for any repair.

Other regions may be under-dog in sales - But every sale counts right. So hang in there and wait for the surprise.

And OP buy the console which has games that you like. Dont go by friends advise. It is you who will be gaming and your friends will still be in contact with you

 

I have both you could aim for that buy the one that appeals most now then maybe get the other down the road
