Xbox One Frito Lay 3-day Gold Trial Redeem problem

I recently got two redeemable codes from a friend, but the problem is that after I redeem a code I'm still not available to use Gold features. I can't play games online nor use apps that should work with Gold. When redeeming the codes everything seems to
work normally and I get a success message saying that I've redeemed a 3-day gold trial, but I cant use the trial.

I've been an Xbox/Xbox Live user for almost 6 years and never had a single problem, but this is really annoying. Can someone provide a solution.

Xbox Live Code - Trial

I have a 14 Day Trial up for grabs if anyone wants it, same rules as DR K as above.
1 Thing I should mention though is I tried to redeem it when my Live had ran out and would not redeem due to me already having a Gold previously so I believe the 14 day trials that come with the x1 are for Gamertags that have never had Gold.

 

Xbox Live Gold 7-day trial and 3 months.

So, my 3-month membership from my local retailer arrived today, and I just remembered I redeemed an 7-day Xbox live gold code. Is there any way to cancel this trial? What happens if I redeem my 3-month membership code while my trial is active?

 

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the codes for trials are game specific. In other words, if the trial came with COD Ghosts, it will only work with that game. So if you were given a trial code for a game you do not own or have access to, it will
not work for other games you might have. Now, please understand that I am not totally sure of this, I just seem to remember reading it somewhere, so I could be totally wrong here.

 

Not all trials work that way, but yes, some trials are game specific.
