Xbox one friends not showing on 360 menu during backwards compatibility

Hey guys,

Recently I have been playing a lot of dirt 3 on backwards compatibility and advised a friend to pick it up. When I go to send him an invite through the 360 menu he doesn't show up on my friends list, so I tried gears and it's the same. They don't seem to
appear on the 360 friends list, is anyone else having this problem

My Account won't stay connected to xbox live on backwards compatibility.

I'm having a problem with backwards compatibility. My xbox live account disconnects from xbox live when I attempt to log in on the 360 menu on backwards compatibility for Xbox one.

 

Games purchased not in libary

Having checked the backward compatibility catalogue, the games you have mentioned are not listed. That is why they are not showing in the Xbox One library. If they become compatible, then the games will show up. Until then your only option is to play the

They won't unless you added them on the 360 as the friends list works differently on the xbox one.

 

That's not true Daft, I have a friend who I have never played with on 360 and he shows up just fine?

 

You might not of played them but friends that you have added on the xbox one will not show on the 360 unless either you or the other person where added via the 360

 

Again you are wrong, I added him on Xbox one, he doesn't even have a 360.

One of you must of added the other via another device which is why they appear on your 360 friends list

 

I'm afraid you are, I added him via xbox one. he shows up online on friends list when I am playing any BC game, tis as simple as that.

 

The only way that would be true is if something was added with the new update.

 

I have a friend who I added through XB1 and he didn't show up on the 360 dash when booting up gears, I had to add him via that aswell.

 

must be some weird thing that happened, you can only see friends on the 360 BC games if they have been added via the 360, but i think you can also add the friends via the website, not to sure on that one.
