Xbox ONe friend appearing offline

I'm trying to play games with my pops and we can't see each other when we're online in the same house? We did the power cycle and everything and still nothing anyway to resolve this issue or is it something I should just expect to keep happening? seems like
every year there's a thread up with this same problem.

Friends issue

I have several friends who are online, they have checked their settings and it says they're appearing online, but on my Xbox One they're appearing offline. Is there a bug going on or is it maybe just my Xbox?

It might be an issue with xbox live or your friends could be appearing offline.

Hey there ZeroMelody!

The issue may reside with being in the same house on the same network. Can you share whether both of you are show open NAT under detailed network statistics?

When you get a chance, please share the make and model of your network hardware as well. You may need to enable UPNP on your router to allow for multiple for consoles on your network.

There was an issue with the Xbox Live service earlier today, this was the cause why your friends appeared offline. The issue should be resolved by now, if you're still having problems then feel free to make another post.

Was just in a party then it disconnected me and tells me all my friends are offline? Tried resetting everything and still not worked, this needs to be fixed.

This problem.is still going ahead. I think the problem lays with multi account login on the same xbox and an error effecting the party.

Any way guys, he's a fast and easy solution. You need two accounts.

Log in, main account. Then log in second account.

Wait a couple of minutes, log out second account then main.

Do this twice and your friend list is running again!
