Xbox one freezing both in games and on main screen

So some background on the issue as it's been about 6 months since the original start.

When it got bad last time, freezing in games only, I tried the resets which seemed to work for a little while but finally did a factory restore but I kept the data on the xbox. It had been running smoothly for the most part for months now. Minus sometimes
lag. About a month ago certain games would freeze, Mostly Minecraft, So I tried uninstalling that game, then I tried logging everyone out on the xbox and then logging back in, then it started to freeze even on the main screen not just in games. I had to keep
resetting it. Sometimes the picture would freeze but the music would still play, Sometimes it would let me get out of the game to the main screen to quit the game other times it was completely frozen and I would have to go a reset and then turn it back on.
So yesterday it wouldn't stay on without freezing for longer then a min or 2. The remote kept disconnecting so I tried a different one.

Trouble shooting I tried doing last night:

1. I checked live status and it was fine.

2. I ended up doing about 10 of the Cycles because it kept freezing while I was trying to trouble shoot.

3. I turned off the xbox and unplugged it

4. I logged out everyone

5. I logged myself back in (I'm the owner of the family live account)

6. I uninstalled Minecraft

7. Reinstalled Minecraft

8. I checked for updates

9. I did a full reset to factory like you do when you sell or give your xbox away. Everything was removed.

After all this the xbox from 3 times during the setting up stage after the full factory reset.

Finally it finished setting up and I only downloaded 1 game, Minecraft and opened one world after it loaded from the cloud. Worked about 30 minutes then it froze. But this time it made a weird humming sound I had never heard before. Once it was turned back
on it proceeded to freeze another 4 times each after 5-15 minutes in a game.

I've read in trouble shooting it could be overheating or the hard drive as my kids got it as a Christmas Present in 2016, so it's a little over 3 years old. How do you figure out which one is the culprit and/or if its worth fixing since it's an older one.

Also it's an Xbox one S Model 1681

EDIT:

I had also tried playing a game today offline and it still froze multiple times.

I did also notice today that the Xbox when on but before even going into a game its running pretty noisily. Its a pretty loud humming/buzzing noise.

Also the All Storage is 363.9 GB free with only 0.2% being used (as we just did the factory reset last night)
