Xbox One Freezing & Black Screening.

Howdy, I'm gonna try to be as detailed as possible...

Earlier today, I had to install the update that came out a few days ago. But my Xbox wasn't able to update for some reason. It kept "starting" the update and then saying there was a problem. Checking the network caused it just to start the download back up
and restarting multiple times did nothing to help. (No the internet wasn't out either) So I left it alone for a few hours and came back. This time my Xbox got stuck on the Green loading screen. I left it alone thinking it somehow updated while off and was
just applying the update. But after 3 hours I contacted support and they said that it wasn't working if it's been that long. So I had to do a hard shut down. They suggested I use the Offline Diagnostic tool. A few times it gave me a black screen. It took me
about 7 tries to finally get the offline update to start working and it did update. But when I started my Xbox back up it was stuck on a Black Screen. So I restarted my Xbox a few times and finally it went to the Dashboard. SUCCESS! ...Wrong. Not a success.
Ever since I got the update to go through I've been having network problems such as Xbox Live dropping out. Or even worse even since I got it back up and running it's been freezing a lot or black screening at the start up. (I have to unplug it from the back
to start up normal. But it will freeze again and then go back to black screening after restarting unless I unplug it.)

At the end of a Call of Duty Ghosts multiplayer game the game would freeze. If I press the middle button then that menu would freeze. So I'd have to hard shut down my Xbox. Which lead to a black screen at the start up where it just sits there. If I unplug my
Xbox one I can get it to start up normal and play the game. But as soon as a game ends it's right back to freezing... I never had this problem prior to doing the update...

Does anyone know of a fix to the Xbox freezing up during games? Is it a hardware problem? Is it because of the recent update? I just want to be able to play the game without having to unplug my Xbox from the back every single time a game ends and freezes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

some information I forgot to mention: it's worth noting that these freezes are something that has started happening rather suddenly today. Yesterday and the day before I played halo 4 on the same xbox with no issues whatsoever, nor has this particular xbox
have a history of freezing. This is something entirely new that started happening today.

This may be your Xbox's hardware failing

If this is the case You need to have it repaired

You should try Resetting your XBOX by doing the steps below

1.Turn on Xbox

2.When turning on Xbox do not release your finger from the power button

3.Hold your finger there for 10 seconds exactly your Xbox lights should light up 1 by 1

This might work but it also might not

BTW

Your display settings will reset.

Sorry to hear about the console freezing issues. I recommend trying a few steps if you haven't already to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Try Uninstalling and reinstalling the game that is freezing.
  
• Once you have reinstalled the game, Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord and the HDMI cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console and HDMI cable.
• Power on your console and try playing the game that is experiencing the issue.
  

Give the listed troubleshooting steps a try and let let us know if you are continuing to experience the freezing issue.

 

similar issue except when I start the tv app snapped or unsnapped my whole xbox freeezes and restarts
