    Xbox One - Free up space at 50%


    So.. I recently bought the Xbox one s and I've installed about 4 or 5 games digitally and I'm at about 50-60% free space which is like 200gb on my 500gb hdd, still when I'm trying to install games it says I need to free up space to install, like destiny
    at 50gb...

    Anyone got any ideas about this?

    Xbox One - Free up space at 50%

    Hey there,

    Do you happen to have an external HDD plugged in? While it shows that you have plenty of space left, the target drive may not have the right amount of space. If you don't, try starting out with a power cycle on your Xbox One to see if that affects any change.
    To do so, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One S console and boot back up to see if that helps!

    The Xbox One has a 500 GB HDD, but only 375 GBs is usable.

    My Xbox One has 231 GBs of storage space left and I don't have an External HDD yet.

    My Xbox 360 has 160 GBs of storage space left.

    Xbox One games take up about 40 to 50 GBs of HDD space.

    Xbox 360 game take up about 6 to 8 GBs of HDD space.

    Sometimes there will be add-ons for games that don't get completely uninstalled. Please refer to Xbox Support This might help free
    up some space.
