Xbox one followers not removed after blocking

Hi I'm trying to remove someone from my followers list. Blocking from the Xbox, smart glass or Xbox.com doesn't work. Also I'm not getting notified when players add me and they don't appear in my followers list so unable to tell when players add me. Steps
I've tried: removed my profile and hard reset then added profile back, cleared cache and not in the preview program. I know of a few people having this issue and would like it resolved.

Cannot remove a Follower

I don't like random Followers so I will block them. Blocking them has removed them all from my Followers list, except for 1 person.

I can not seem to remove this person from my Followers list. It seems like a bug.

I called Xbox Live support but they were unable to help me.

When I click on their name, the only options are Report or Unblock.

They also still show up as a suggested Friend since they are a Follower.

What gives ?

I believe blocking only turns off communication on the xbox one.

I don't believe you have any control whatsoever on anyone who chooses to follow you.

 

Hi it's possible to remove followers by blocking as I've done it many times in the past.

NewBlacksmurf is correct. People follow you, and then you have the option to follow them back (making them a friend). If you block them from the followers menu they will no be able to invite you, send you message, or join your games.

 

Not too sound rude but are you sure ? I'm 100% sure I've blocked people and they've removed from my followers list immediately. Because the player I've blocked has been removed from my follower count but not the list.

 

Blocking should eventually remove them. If they're not being removed after blocking, then from what I've seen sometimes a mod chimes in and assists. I don't know if this would work or not, but you can try to friend them, and then removing them from your
friends list via xbox.com.

 

I have the same problem. I have made 3 separate threads on this issue and still have many unwanted followers. Hopefully it gets fixed. It is very annoying.

 

Adding them and blocking from Xbox.com doesn't work. I'll give it a few hours too see if a mod jumps in and can assist.

having the same problem, people follow you. you block them, but i still get a notification when they go online.

the old friendship system was perfect....the actual system is just crap.

 

Having the exact same problem as Badger with removing followers. Also, can't see when people add me & they don't show up on my follower's list yet I am their friend on their list. I've also tried to removed my profile, hard reset, contacted Xbox support.
It seemed to fix the problem for a few hours but I am back to square one.
