Xbox One - Flashing Power Light and Clicking

Ive been looking into this for a few days and havent seen anybody with a fix yet.

Issue being, for the last few weeks, my xbox would occasionally start flashing the power light on the console and I could hear a clicking from the console.

The last few days this has been more common and seems to last alot longer, sometimes the whole time time the console has been turned on.

There doesnt seem to be any other issues, crashing, not turning on or anything like that.

Just this weird flashing power light and a clicking sound.

Has anybody else had this? Has anybody found a fix?

Im complelty lost and short of taking it to someone and paying a small fortune for a repair i have no idea what to do?

Have you tried unplugging the console for at least 30 seconds and then plugging it back in again. That resets the power supply and hopefully fixes your problem. If the problem persists then your power supply may be faulty and you will likely need to do a
warranty or paid repair depending on how old it is.

Alternatively, your console might be having issues with the internal HDD. If that's the case then again you'd have to consider a warranty or paid repair. Here's something I found that sounds like it might be similar to your issue:

If the console is old enough (eg Day One Xbox One)...then you might want to consider buying a new replacement updated console especially if you can find one on sale. That might be more cost effective especially if you also need a new controller or Microsoft
headset.

Nah that's not possible Genesis. Only have one at the moment.

I agree with genesis it may be the preview update for the console and may have failed too install mind going to your settings - system - console info & updates and tell us if the latest update install was successful.

I don't see how a clicking noise has anything to do with being in the preview program. It's a system issue. (Don't take that as being rude or anything
