Xbox One: Fix messaging system.

Why is this the next generation but I cannot send a voice message? Or a video message with Kinect? And the ONE option I have (txt), is SLOW and lags?!? Why did the 369 have a superior messaging system? This makes no sense. It has nothing to do with the
limitations of the hardware, just those whom program. I expected this to be one of the first things fixed. Yet it still persists.

I miss not the abusive messages from screaming 10 year olds.

 

I was just using it and wondered to myself why they don't have the "find someone" feature while sending voice messages, so I don't have to scroll through my list of 100+ friends... But then again, there were things I wish the 360 messaging system had too
- for example the ability to "select all" when selecting friends to send a message (which oddly enough was available on xbox.com but nowhere else).

 

The find someone feature would be good, and voice messaging should come back, it was handy, as for getting messages from kids, spammers, trolls, that's easy, I have it set to friends.

Edit = GG, you should put that in the wishlist, if you have not already.

 

Voice Messages, can be frustrating. Miss a 10 year old screaming? Why would you listen to a VM from a random player? Delete (without listening) and move on. I personally only sent VM to friends. They are fast, convenient and can be funny among friends.


2nd. What sense does it make that an exclusive feature during the 7th Gen is not on the 8th Gen successor? But the competition has it now and we do not.

 

Just make it optional, win-win for everyone......and, video messaging not bloody likely (outside of skype).

 

Yeah, since we already have Skype, I think video messaging won't happen.

 

Well you can technically video message with the latest preview by using upload and then attaching that video to a message to your friend.

Yeah for real. Still need Voice messages and themes. Then I will want no more. Just enjoy the console evolution unfold since Day One

 

Voice Messages and the ability to change the Dash background... Microsoft has received LOTS of feedback from peps who want this. It probably does take the development team time to respond software wise to make updates compatible to the Xbox 1 for this. Maybe
in September or November, to celebrate the anniversary of Xbox 1, they may issue it. Don't give your hopes up.
