Xbox One feels like it's already outdated.

When it comes to games, i honestly don't see the difference comparing the next generation of consoles to the last generation of consoles and i was also expecting 4K resolution. I got a 4K tv and the Xbox One only does 900p struggling to do 1080p 60fps in
most cases. The problem is why are there so many last gen games being ported over to next gen and why are there so many next gen games being ported over to last gen aren't we suppose to move on.

Sure it's okay to port a few last gen games over to next gen with a remastered version where you can actually see the difference, which that extra 20 bucks would be worth it, but pretty much all the new last gen games are being ported over with no difference
when being compared.

What's really stupid is that next gen games are being ported over to last gen giving no reason for last gen gamers to get a next gen system. I never seen this happen before in the previous console generations.

Also the Xbox One graphics doesn't have much of a difference when compared to the Xbox 360, what happened to the wow that a person would get when seeing the Original Xbox graphics being compared to the Xbox 360 graphics, and why did the Xbox 360 felt like
a power house at the time and the Xbox One doesn't feel anything like that did.

Will the Xbox One live up to it's predecessor, will it have a game that defines the next generation of games, giving gamers a reason to move on or will it feel outdated as soon as you get it out of the box.

Xbox One not running 60 FPS

I feel the Xbox is already outdated in terms of hardware since its release, if you want a true gaming experience you'll have to go the PC route.

 

Do we need the disk in the drive to play?

Xbox one should of not even had a disk drive it already seems outdated everything is going digital.

 

Next Gen games won't be available on last gen which makes me think we don't really have any Next gen games yet. If they are on 360 they are not Next Gen.

If that's how you really feel why not just sell your XBox ONE and buy a canoe and go enjoy a paddle in a lake.

I hear the graphcs are almost as good as 4K.

 

Maybe Ryse was the only game that was next gen but didn't play like a next gen game might aswell roll over to Pc to get that wow experience.

There's a guy above who actually posted that he can't tell the difference between a 360 game and a ONE game.

 

Of course the leap from SD which was the original xbox to HD on the 360 was more noticeable. Not really rocket science there is it, If you think this gen is all about pixels your missing the point. And anyone who says games dont look significantly better
on the one should really nip down to Specsavers pronto.

 

You have a lot of questions that need answering, but I think you're asking the wrong people. People who have bought this console, as I have, certainly think that the console has potential. Enjoyment is subjective. If you're not enjoying the Xbox One,
maybe you should consider doing something else to pass your time. Have you ever thought of that?

 

So what your trying to say is that i have no life, when in fact i do, gaming is just a hobby that i enjoy. What I'm trying to say is that i have experienced what consoles were like at launch and how much of a leap it was when they were compared to their
predecessors, this generation for me doesn't have that leap or jump as the previous consoles or the ones before did, with this generation your not really getting you moneys worth especially with the games where people expect to see a leap from last gen to
next gen.

 

I have to say I agree with zero. I love the XB1 one but its certainly not the leap I was expecting when compared to the 360. XBOX marketplace is a particular disappointment. When I first saw Splinter Cell on my brothers 360 compared to the copy I had on
my original Xbox I was stunned at the difference. The water and face effects alone made me think 'time to trade up'. Same as when I upgraded from the PS1 to Dreamcast. Playing Soul Caliber compared to Tekken 3 was a whole new ball of wax. I am sure XB1 will
get there, its a cool console. Just launched a bit half baked. If there is ONE thing I have learned from this (the most expensive) of new hardware purchases it will be to give it nine months or a year after a new launch before I invest.

 

I'm saying that if you don't enjoy the Xbox One, or if you're specifically apathetic with the offerings next gen machines provide, then find something else to do.

Gaming has evolved to a point whereby games won't really wow us until we're actually participating in some sort of virtual reality. Each new hardware upgrade offers the same sort of games, albeit with more graphical fidelity, but for some that isn't enough,
or particularly noticeable.

Gaming machines of years gone by were great at the time, but you could see where the improvements could be made. Antiquated machines like the NES were superseded by superior versions such as the SNES, which gave developers more freedom with a greater colour
palette, improved sprite manipulation etc. More contemporary machines allowed developers to create better versions of 2D games, and then the natural progression was 3D.

Current generations are offering the same things, abeit with more bells and whistles. PC gaming offers the same thing, albeit higher resolutions, and higher frame rates. The natural progression for games now is virtual reality, but whether that becomes
something that the masses become interested in is still to be decided.

Maybe the interest for games will just plateau out. Who knows?! The interest in gaming and the revenue gained from it has increased year on year, and there seems to be no sign of it stopping.

 

We ain't going to see true Next Gen games until this 'Holiday Season'. Games like Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive etc should raise the bar.

 

Virtual Reality is just a gimmick just like the Kinect that's collecting dust right now, i'm talking performance, better frame-rate and a jump from Hd to 4k, that's what next gen should be since Pc's are doing it already.
