    Xbox One, faulty hard drive?

I've recently come upon this issue, my system will be running fine and then start with a regular clicking noise.

The clicking repeats the following pattern until i manually power down, and freezes shortly after clicking begins; click click, click click, click click click. The clicking is coming from the right side of the console, not the disc tray.

I've had my system for 8 or so months and have not had this problem until a few days ago. Through research online, it appears that i may have a faulty hard drive.

Just looking for some clarification/input on my issue, thank you to anyone that may be able to help.

    :)

  3. Xbox one console making clicking noise AND now games are running slowly (offline)

I'm certain that your console is faulty. The clicking noise you are hearing may actually be coming from the hard drive. Faulty hard drives can make this sound it's own as the 'hard drive click of death'. Since all Xbox One games need to be installed to
the hard drive, the crashes could well be related to this.

This isn't an issue that regularly pops up on the Xbox One, after all, it only uses the same type of hard drive as your typical laptop. I think this is where your issue is.

Either way it needs to be replaced/repaired.

    Hi, xLindyx11.

This could mean a couple of things. It can be the Hard Drive or maybe there is something stuck in the fan on the right side. I haven't really seen this or heard this happen before. I recommend that you send in the Xbox Console for repair just to be
safe by going here: https://myservice.xbox.com . The cost should be covered by your Warranty for your console.

    Random Unreadable Errors

I would get a repair because its cheaper and you will get to keep all your game data. if the hard-drive is faulty try buying a hard-drive. if you want to buy a new xbox im not stopping you and you could try using your old hard-drive in the new xbox then
you will know if the hard-drive or xbox itself is faulty ;)
