Xbox One Fan

The kinect has many components if the camera breaks it will continue to work if it doesn't well it's no different from the console having a fault.

I'll be a guini pig for you all

I wont be unplugging it though

Its an Aussie Shindig here! No we are not immune but If you unplug kinect when not in use then no info is taken(if possible) and THEY wouldnt have a clue if your home or not or listen to any phone conversations. It would be much simpler to hack telstra's
network than MS live network and listen to your phone conversations or facebook to find out where you are at any given time.

Tin foil hat aside (personally I haven't made one yet), but that statement right there sounds naive or oversimplified. IF, and I can't stress enough, IF your Kinect got hacked, the person doesn't have to see a thing. Don't forget the microphone, as I'm sure
someone could glean enough information simply from conversations you would have on any given day. They would know when you are home, when you go out, for how long, where you are going, conversations you have on your phone... Etc etc.

Now as for being a fan of the Xbox One, I can't really say yet. I guess if I had to though, I'd have to base my answer on the fact that I'm an original and current Xbox fan, and based on that, by default, my preference between the Xbox One and the PS4 would
be the Xbox One as I'm already invested in the Xbox ecosystem. I honestly can't see myself going the Sony route, but I'm holding off on my Xbox One purchase to see it operate in the real world, and give it time in case of any possible hardware issues. Also,
maybe themed consoles will become available within year one, and I'd be miffed if I went for the std black when a sweet Halo (for one example) themed console was not far off. It'd look pretty sweet next to my Reach console.
