    Xbox one fan still running after shut!!?


    Hi, when I close my Xbox one the fan keeps going like if the Xbox was still open. I’ve been having this problem for a while now and I can’t find a way to stop it from doing so!! Does anyone know how to fix the problem? Pls and thank you.

    It looks like your console is set to instant-on. This type power mode is available to allow your console to install updates when powered off, return you to the dashboard quickly after startup, and allow you to remotely install games to your console from your Xbox App on PC and Mobile.

    You can change that by following this step:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power mode & start-up.

    Select from the Power mode drop-down menu to change the setting.

    the fan will remain on after you shut off the console so it can complete syncing and check for updates, completely normal behaviour.

    1- If the controllers are connected then you may still hear the Xbox's fans running after you shut it off. They will remain on until the controllers are fully charged.

    Either Instant-On is set (Think PS4 rest mode) , or your console was finishing a download. The only other thing I can think of is it might just be cooling itself before shutting off. I don't know if it can sense the temperature of the console or not.
