Xbox One fan running hours after powering it off

I have an Xbox One S and this problem has happened twice over the past few months. I’ll turn my Xbox off (standby mode) and hours later I’ll be sitting in my room and randomly the fan will turn on full force for about 15 seconds then stop. The temperature
in my room is about 68 F and it has plenty of air, so I’m not worried about it overheating.

It doesn’t necessarily hurt anything. But it feels like it could potentially be bad. Has anyone else had this issue or know why it’s happening?

Xbox One Media Remote intermittent responding

First hours with my new Xbox One media remote. It worked perfectly for the first few minutes. After a while stop responding. Worked perfectly after powering off and on the Xbox one. After a couple of hours working perfectly, stop responding again. Will continue
testing. Anyone with this issue?

Hi

If your console is set to instant on it is possible that your console may have been downloading a system or game update that has briefly caused the fan to turn on.

Hi, it's normal for the fans to keep running after you power the console off, this expels the heat out of the console before it completely shuts down.

Keep a fan running in or around the xbox and every hour or two turn it off and give it a break.

No, the xbox has the fan at full power even when sitting idle. I’ve also tried restarting the xbox multiple times or even not playing at all and waiting for tomorrow and without failure, the fans still kick in loudly

one weird thing is that after i turn off the xbox, the fan is still whirring at a fairly high speed... some would say it is the excess momentum of the fan, but firstly if i unplug the main power source to the already off Xbox, the fans instantly come to a halt
and also, if i wait around 3-5 mins after i turn the xbox off the fans would instantly come to a halt.

My Xbox suddenly turned off. After letting it cool for 15 mins I turned it back on but it turned off again after about 2 mins since then when the power supply is connected the Xbox cooling fan starts running, sounding like a jet engine but the Xbox
stays off. A slight inky burning smell is also emitted from the fan area. Is this an issue with the thermal paste or something else? Also please note that there is no light( I mean the one that comes on when Xbox is turned on) on the Xbox and I’m sure the
power brick is fine as according to the Xbox guide it gives all the required lights ;however , Is this normal that when I plug it in the wall, the power supply shows a GREEN light.green light continues when put in the console but the console stays
off however the console fan powers on instantly(seemingly only thing on) is this a power supply issue( as I read that when it is plugged in the wall and not in the console it shows an orange light) or is this a THERMAL PASTE issue cause recently I played
for 10 hours continuous for an entire week. or Is this a burn or console damage as an inky burning smell emitted from the console when the power supply is connected( from fan area). I have a standard Xbox 1 console. The Xbox on attempting to turn
it on gives no response but very very faint sounds can be heard occasionally (the one Xbox 1 gives when it is turned on).
