  1. xbox one fan problem

I was playing crimson dragon earlier and out of nowhere the fan just went into overdrive and became really loud, loud enough to where I could hear it over the tv and the washing machine that's right outside my door. I immediately turned it off and went
over to feel it and it was really hot. I turned in on to get the disc out and it crashed right after it came out. I turned it on again and everything seemed fine but when I turn it off and listen closely there's this ticking noise in the console. After 8 months
this is the only problem with the console I've run into, should I be worried?

    Xbox One Fan Noise/Rattle Problem

So I just got my Xbox One (Regular Version) yesterday and now anytime that its on now the fan makes a rattle/noise that seems to of gotten louder since yesterdays little noise I heard (which at first I thought was normal) but then realized the console
should be relatively quiet . I was doing a bit of research and not totally positive that this could be true but that any of the consoles that have "Team: FDOU" (This can be found next to the handle of the box to the right of the bar code) on them seem to be
having the noise issue(s), or could there be something loose on the fan or a wire?

I am also having the same issue with my standard edition Team: FDOU as well as the panel on the right side not being fully attached.

It could just be a one-off thing but keep an eye on it in case anything happens.

For now, try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) the console and hopefully that corrects things.

As for the ticking, that is likely just an observational bias in that you weren't looking for it before but now that you are it seems really loud.

If it persists and happens frequently, you may want to contact Support and discuss your options regarding repairs or replacement and so on, but hopefully that will not be necessary.

  5. I power cycled it, I hope it's just a one time thing but I'll keep a watch one it thanks.

Also the ticking is very faint you literally have to put your ear an inch above the fan.

Xbox one Fan noise / problems

I took the console back to the shop, i now have a standard edition and its quiet as ever no problems . it seems that its mainly the day one editions that are basically, , , , TRASH.

Xbox one Fan noise / problems

I have the same issue with mine. I notice it only does it when a disc is in the console. So when there is nothing in there, it is as quiet as can be. I have the day one edition and my niece doesn't and hers doesn't make the noise. So I don't know if you
have the day one edition also and it's a problem with them or what.

Xbox One producing weird oily liquid?

    Hi CynicalAnarchy,

From my experiences with PC building and Xbox One knowledge, I can conclude that this is not a problem. The liquid you are seeing is Fan Lubricant. Fans leaking oil Lubricant are not rare most computers at some point have fans leaking Lubricant. During the
manufacturing of computer fans, the bearing (the center there the motor is) is applied with oil Lubricant. Some fan manufactures put too much Lubricant resulting in some leaking after time.

Here is what happened: Oil Lubricant was released from the Xbox One's fan, since the Xbox One's fan blows out air instead of blow in, the oil from the bearing's will be blown out to the top of the Xbox One causing what you currently see on your Xbox One.

Don't worry, this might sound all scary, but don't fear. Fan Lubricant is non conductive, it will not harm your Xbox One's motherboard or any internal components.

If you have any questions, feel free to rely.

    Best regards, bloodygunner17
