Xbox One (fan?) Noise

Hi, I know there have been quite a few complaints about weird noises coming from the Xbox One. And although the noise I'm having sound the same, it still is different than with other situations.

First of all, with most people this only happens with the Kinectless version of the Xbox One, but I have the Kinect plugged in and it's still making that noise.

Secondly, for most people the sound stops when playing games, but when I play a game on disc, the sound is horrible and distracting. When playing a digital game, the sound is basically the same as on the dashboard or in an app.

When the Xbox One is in stand by mode, the sound is constant, while the sound I'm hearing when the console is on is more like crackling noises with pauzes in between them.

I've made 2 videos. One with Kinect plugged in and one with Kinect unplugged. You can view them [1] and [2] .

I'm aware the noise doesn't sound as bad as it actually is in the video, but that's because I started Forza which is a digital game. Dead Rising 3, which is a game I have on disc is basically unplayable because of the noise. I've also heard from friends
that their X1 is whisper quiet and mine definitely isn't.

Could it be that I really have something wrong with my fan? It's as if it's hitting something.

xbox one s fan noise

No. Mine does not make that noise. It does make a little noise while it's running, but not the chopping noise I heard in your video.

 

Xbox One noise issue

My xbox one has only one week and I could check a noise louder than normal when the console is on.

It is not a huge noise but asking with other owners they told me that their consoles doesn't make any kind of strange noise, including that the power supply makes more noise then the console.

How can I check if the noise is normal or not?

Anyone with the same problem?
