Xbox one fan makes a squeaking noise when it gets hotter!

When my Xbox one has been on for a while i heard that when it gets hotter it works harder to get cooler again well when my xbox one has been on for ages it makes a squeaking noise not very load or violent just a little squeak but after a while it stops when
it gets cooler again. Maybe it just might be where the plastic is new i dont want to send it off for repairs please help?

Xbox One Elite Console Noise

I just bought the Xbox One Elite console and I realized when it was on that it was making a squeaking noise.

The noise is not really loud but I can hear it when I get close to the console.

Is this normal for a Xbox One console to make noise? Could it just be the fan?

Xbox one fan squeaking often anyway to fix it? Got it back in November during Black Friday but that darn squeaking noise so annoying when watching tv.

 

Is the console in a dusty area? Do you keep it clean? Perhaps some dust got inside the fan on the console (don't take it apart to look).

If the squeak continues you should definitely look into a repair of the console.

 

Do you think putting a Hoovers pipe thing over the vents to try and get dust out would harm the xbox one?

 

I can't say for sure. But if you're going to do it then I would recommend putting it on an angle so there is not an excessive amount of suction.

 

Okay I will thanks any other stuff I could try? I have done a power cycle dunno if its worked

 

My new console started making this unbearable noise in the last couple days.

Is that the same squeaking you're hearing? I'm not hopeful this is something that has a solution or will actually get fixed even if I do send it in, to be honest. Not to mention the idea of already being on refurbs after owning a console for less than a
month is fairly obnoxious.

 

Mine starting making this noise a few days ago. It's the same noise as posted in stormhit's youtube video. It's incredibly annoying!

Did you find a solution or did you send it in for repair?

 

I'm having this same issue as well now. I posted about it on this forum, but never got a response, Any luck with this after? I don't want to get the console replaced only to end up with a refurb if I don't need to.
