    Xbox one fan is loud


    Hi,

    I got a new xbox one for christmas and it seems to have a super loud fan sound coming out of it. Loud enough that it makes it hard to hear the tv on low volume loud. Is there something that could be causing this or is it just the xbox itself?

    Xbox One X Fan sounds way louder than usual

    Ok I moved it and it has not shut off sense but the Xbox One X Fan noise is not constant and is still loud maybe not as loud as a jet engine like I describe before but still loud way louder than my Xbox One S and OG Xbox One, it would have a fan burst
    when I'm playing which is loud and annoying and the fan noise would never be at a constant noise level while I'm playing a game.

    It shouldn't be that loud. Is it getting enough airflow? You need to have it in a really well ventilated area because the fan kicks into overdrive when the console heats up.

    I don't have the One S but I would image the fan would be louder than the original launch consoles because the psu is inside the console. Still, I don't think it should be as loud as what you are describing.

    You shouldn't be hearing anything.

    Both Xbox One versions are whisper quiet. Even with the internal power supply in the S.

    Your console needs to be repaired. Good luck.

    Maybe it's because I'm sober at the moment but I totally took the title of this thread out of context. I thought it was a complaint about a loud gamer. lol

    hey my original I bought in 2015 was quiet as hell. traded it in for the Xbox halo5 edition. loud fan. i thought i was being picky... never returned it. then 2 months ago I got an Xbox s and it made the same fan noise so figured maybe my original wasn't
    as quiet. nah this is **** stupid ridiculous. 2 Xbox with same issue it's just a constant chirpy whine. and of course warranty through Xbox mail it and 4 months later. ****. it wasn't that bad tho but turned it on today and it's so loud. it's in a ventilated
    area, I don't get it.

    What sort of sound are you getting? Just a super loud fan sound, or does it sound like the fan is hitting something? I get a super loud fan on my Xbox One X, but never anything more than that.

    I also have issues with the fan. I have an Xbox One X and the fan is very loud even though it has enough space around it.
