    Xbox One Family Issue

It turns out that my Xbox Live account is a child/ teen account. I need to change the privacy settings on this account so I can hear and chat with other gamers, and so I can download community files on some games. When I set up my console, this was the only
account I activated/ used. Because it is a child account, It can't change it's own privacy settings directly so I need a parent account. However, since this was the only account created initially, it is in it's own family, and since privacy settings are restricted,
it's not allowed to add a new account to be the parent or to remove itself from the family it's currently in, so there is no way to add a new account to the family or for the account to join another family. Has anyone had this problem/ have any solutions?

    :)

    Can't add child account

When I attempt to add a child account to my XBOX One it tells me I am unable to add because I have too many family members. On the XBOX One I only have my adult account and two children account. The third child account I am trying to add shows under my Xbox
Live family but will not add to the XBOX ONE as family due to this issue. I am not able to find help for this specific issue.

Set up Xbox on new tv. Logged in. But can’t find my child’s account which should be under mines

    Hello georgekerr1,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We recommend checking the
    Microsoft Family
section of the account. Once we determine that the accounts are tied together in a family, we can add both accounts to the Xbox. Are you settings up the family on an Xbox One or Xbox 360?

But it won´t help him if he changes the date of birth on account.live.com . The "system" will still know that he has a child account. He can promote his child account when he reaches the "correct" age, but this depends on the age he entered as he created
    his account. Example:

Date of birth was entered as 1.1.1998, the "system" now thinks he is 16 years old, even if it is 26 in "real life".

If you change it now to 1.1.1988 on account.live.com the system will still know that he originally entered "1.1.1998" and he will still have a child account.

But the parental account is able to change his privacy settings, but of course he´ll need to know the email adress and password, or just ask his parents.

If it would be this easy to upgrade a child account by changing the date of birth on account.live.com the whole system would be broken.

On the 360 he´ll need a credit card to promote his child account, but this is only possible after he reaches the correct age (depends on the country he lives and of the date of birth he originally entered when he created the account)

On the Xbox One he should get promoted automatically when he reaches the age.

    Xbox one family sharing issues

Sharing is tied to the Home console. You can only have 1 console set as your Home at a time. So your kida would be able to access your games/gold on one of the consoles. You would either need to be signed in on the non-Home console as well when they want
to play or make the purchases on one of the child accounts. Then child 1 sets child 2's console as their Home and child 1 can then sign into their console and still access everything because it's tied to their account.
