Xbox one false update issue ?

My games wont update, it seems to be a false update/launch issue of some kind. When trying to play games it asks for an update that flickers between stopping and starting for a few seconds, never passing 0%. It then gose to installation stopped, any attempt
to resume is same result. I have done a power cycle, re installed games, factory reset in 2 different steps, one clearing everything. The games then re install fine and fast. For example call of duty seems to download the season 2 pass during installation.
Then once all is complete and ready to go, it prompts for the season 2 pass update. This returns me to the issue and is the same on every game, no error message.

When I had the similar situation, I had to remove my account. It saved me from having to download/install games. I have no idea why my account mattered so much but it fixed the issue of games looking like they were updating but then not updating.
I had tried reinstalling, hard reset, all sorts of stuff. In the end, I removed my account, hard reset, then added my account back on. I know you said you did a factory reset so maybe this will not help you but I thought I would mention it.

That does really sound like a good suggestion, and even if a clean factory reset was done, it might even help by removing totally your profile / link from the xbox and adding it back again after a restart. Sometimes the links can get stuck, as it remembers
which xbox it was on.

Ye they did.

Check the free disc space on your console. You may need to clear some disc space so the updates can proceed. Check this link, Manage
Storage on XBOX one.

and yes, that is why I suggested to contact Microsoft Support, with the links in my response. They can organise a repair or replacement, after they guide you through their own trained testing procedure, if they diagnose it is a console
issue.

I personally have had to contact Microsoft Support for my own hardware, and they guided me and then organised a replacement for me which went quickly and very well, so I would recommend you call them and get started on resolving your issue the best way they
