    So one of my buddies xbox on is currently having problems, recently he dropped the xbox one s onto the side near the heatsink and on top of his external hard drive he had. for some reason it's acting up. 1. It starts up fine and loads to the home screen. 2. After around 4-5 minutes it starts to become extremely slowed down and refuses to open anything. He's hard reset the xbox, factory reset the xbox, booted the xbox with a usb drive. We don't

    Hi there wazupmhn33505 welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately it seems you have tried all the possible troubleshooting, and it seems the issue comes from the fall, being this a hardware issue, not a software issue.

    Yes i'm well aware of the DVD drive faliure problem. I've had 3 go in the past 5 yrs. In my experience a dvd drive faliure means it will not play any games. My problem is that it won't read the new disk format. And if thats not an incompatabilty issue, and
    therefore Microsofts problem. I don't know what is..... Time will tell maybe.
