Xbox One fails to load large percentage of games. " ... took too long to load" ...

We have dealt with this issue for many months because a few games function properly (around 30%). Of the remaining 70% most will not load whatsoever and the "took too long to load" message pops up. There are a few oddballs that load (such as BF4), that
when trying to join an online game it stalls.

What we have tried (after a couple rounds of online chat support through microsoft):

1. Full Factory Resets

2. Clearing persistent storage.

3. Alternate MAC address

None of these fixed this issue in any fashion.

It was suggested by the support agents that I send it in for repair, which costs $115+. The console has always been buggy (something I attributed to it being a brand new console and them working out the kinks) and these problems have been occurring since
it was within its warranty period. Given the high price tag of $500 that I payed for it at launch, I'm simply not willing to drop such an amount to fix it.

Are there any other options or troubleshooting I can try or am I stuck with the decision of paying $115+ vs keeping a crippled console?

Problem with loading anything on Xbox One

I have a really bad issue on my Xbox. Nothing will load and it just keeps coming up with the same error message saying this took too long to load. Anyone know how to fix it?

 

Constant dead rising 3 freezes. Do your digital games freeze!?

I have the disc version of Dead Rising 3, it often fails to load, when it fails to load it times out, returns me to the home screen and gives me an error code (0x8027025a) with message saying something like 'game taking too long to load. Please try again
later' .

The game also freezes or crashes during cut scenes.

 

I would try moving some games to an external HD and see if they run off of that.

As said above you can try to use another hard drive to see if this resolves the issue. With your troubleshooting steps it does look like you've done everything possible to resolve this error. The Took too long to load is an error generated by the OS. As
such, if the hard drive doesn't work, as the support agents said, you will need to send your console in for repairs. You can also try reinstalling the games, but if it's happening every time, there won't be another solution.

Unfortunately, I do not own an extra external hard drive to try. If it is some sort of a hard drive error and the XB1 will function properly with an external that would likely be my best bet. I'll have to see if I can borrow one from a friend to determine
