Xbox One fails to load certain games.

Ok. I've been trying to fix this thing for about a week now to no avail. My GTA V fails to load, and through a stroke of luck that it does, it freezes within 1 second of loading.

It all started a week ago when i was playing GTA V online and the game froze. Since then, I've tried EVERYTHING and i mean everything to fix it as the game no longer works. My buddy pulled his account to my Xbox and downloaded a digital copy and it still
didn't work. I'm at a loss, as Xbox support brought me to Rockstar support, and they just keep giving me steps to do (that I've all done several times) over and over again.

The Xbox tech guy did say something about how it sounds like imminent hard drive failure. In that event, what step can i do to resolve it? Also, ARK is starting to do this now, but it loads much further into the game, whereas GTA sometimes fails to load
at all.

I just want to enjoy these games. Can someone PLEASE help me where they have failed? Again, I've tried everything except switching data to an external (cause i can't afford it) and reformating the system. Please help.

Misson Skip Feature GTA V?

The game announces that if you continue to fail at a certain point repeatedly you will be invited to proceed to the next checkpoint.

It does this when you turn it on and it offers you advice as it loads.

Xbox one settings fails to load

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down the unplug all cables from the console and let it sit for 5 minutes? Hopefully that will solve the issue.

If you have tried everything BUT a factory reset , then go ahead and try that ... that would be what support would have you do before a repair anyway, no need for an external drive as everything should be tied to your profile anyway...

The "official" solution is to simply reinstall the game. Factory reset, worst case scenario. Sending it in for repair, absolute worst case scenario.

From what it sounds like according to your post, it is very likely that the hard drive in the Xbox One is about to die. The games are stored on the hard drive, after all. Freezing and load failures point to corrupt data, and corrupt data points to bad sectors
on the drive.

If you still have warranty time left on the system, either from the store you bought it at or from Microsoft, I suggest you take advantage of that. Otherwise, you're pretty much on your own from here. An external USB 3.0 hard drive is probably the next best
solution. Save your pennies for either an external HDD, a repair service, or a complete console replacement. Those are your options.

listen, if a map fails to load, its because the host disrupted the load by doing a certain thing which I won't explain. doing so results in a perma ban and I don't need that. its not the servers or the company. its idiots trying to manipulate the game to
get the maps they want to play and *** the rest of us over.

if you're playing with a downloaded version on your xbox one or 360, you very likely have a corrupted file on one of your dlc's. you will probably have to delete the game and maps and do it all over again. sometimes this fixes it but not always.

hard restart your console and internet connection. If getting a this maybtake a few minutes to load message please just wait it will usually load within 2 minuets or less
