    Xbox One External Hardware Storage Problems


    Hello,

    I recently ran out of space on my Xbox one. I found a 1TB USB 3.0 external hardware. Upon plugging it into my Xbox One, it prompted the format of this device. I clicked it and chose games (instead of media). I named it and everything and then clicked
    the final format button. But after waiting 5 minutes, I was never prompted with a read to install games as I saw on youtube videos. I have restarted my box and tried to redo the process, but it won't recognize it. I even went to Manage Storage Devices,
    and yet it still only showed an Internal location option. I let my Xbox sit and do its thing for over 5 hours, and still no showing of an external drive. I need help! Thank you so much for your time.

    Hi Laxmoefoe,

    You are better off just starting a fresh and not bothering with the old Xbox you have had to have replaced. If you wanted though, you could invest in an external drive that you can save games to. Some links below for you to look at :)
